The Angel Golf Spectacular
The First Annual Angel Golf Spectacular, our largest fundraising effort, was introduced on September 20, 1997, with 50 golfers participating. The St. Germain Golf Course, the largest and fastest course in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, boasts of its bent grass greens and forest setting. This outstanding 18-hole course is the home of our annual event.
Bruce Krier and Mark Rose, two members of the founding board of Angel On My Shoulder, created the "spectacular" to benefit the many causes championed by our foundation.
This "Spectacular" fundraiser is held annually on the second Friday of June. Since its inception, we have experienced an amazing spurt of interest, and now over 180 golfers register each year to come out swinging to help support those in the cancer-affected community.
After spending the day out on the golf course, the evening begins with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvre reception, followed by an awards ceremony, dinner and silent auction. The evening culminates with Angel's signature live auction.
