Angel Adventures Extreme Documents

Angel Adventures Extreme is for 16-18 year olds who are serious adventurers! Held annually in August at beautiful Keeweenaw Base Camp in Upper Michigan, this exciting camp is an extension of the Angel Adventures camp. This camp challenges teens to push beyond their comfort zones, with activities including sea kayaking, a high ropes course, mountain biking, and a mine tour followed by the thrill of rappelling down a mine shaft!. Even the lodging arrangements are an adventure as campers stay in platform tents called yurts, where they will hear the sounds of nature around them during the night!

Teens also benefit greatly from being with other teens going through the same experience with cancer as they are, and sharing sessions are an important part of camp programming. They can network with each and offer support and advice to their fellow campers.

Travel arrangements are provided with a bus leaving West Allis, Wisconsin at 6:30 am CT on Friday morning. Campers arrive at Keweenaw Base Camp between 4 and 5 pm ET on Friday. On Monday morning they board buses at 9:00 am for the return ride home.
