11th Annual Polar Bear Plunge

You are “warmly” invited to join us for some Northwoods fun and fundraising at the 11th Annual “Northwood’s Original” Polar Bear Plunge scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2011, at Fibber’s Bar and Restaurant on Big St. Germain. The “plunge” is set to begin at High Noon.

2010 Angel Golf Event


14th Annual Golf Spectacular

June 11, 2010 at St. Germain Golf Club in Beautiful St. Germain, WI


The golf experience offered a putting contest (cash prize) along with awesome prize opportunities (last year’s incentives included 4 season tickets for Packer home games; a Chevrolet “RED” Corvette and an all expense paid trip for four to the Bahamas) at designated golf holes. Lunch was provided on the course and a celebration awards banquet with silent and live auctions culminated the day.

9th Annual Polar Bear Plunge

January 2009 Polar Bear Plunge

Through the creative efforts, hard work, and unparalleled dedication of its founders and organizers, Mike Wolf of WRJO Radio, George and Lois Rudiger, former owners of the St. Germain Lodge, as well as the new owners of Fibber’s Bar and Lodge, Kaye and Rob Manthei of St. Germain, and their team of “we couldn’t do it without them” volunteers, The 9th Annual Northwood’s Original Polar Bear Plunge, raised a “shivering” amount of over $29,000 to greatly benefit Camp Angel/Camp Teen Angel and other programs of Angel On My Shoulder.

Vernon Hills Capitols

The Vernon Hills Capitals are making their season debut as a member of the Great Lakes Hockey League, a top-notch amateur loop which will begin its 71st season. The 10-team, two-division GLHL features teams from Michigan and Wisconsin, with the Vernon Hills organization the first team from Illinois to join the league.

A benefit game to support Angel On My Shoulder, a non-profit cancer support foundation, will be on December 20th, against the Fond du Lac Bears.
