What we do at Camp Teen Angel
Our weekend at Camp Teen Angel is filled to the brim with activities for our campers.
Here are some of the highlights:
Campers arrive late afternoon on Thursday, are greeted by our staff and counselors, and get a chance to settle in to their cabin. There is a brief orientation and some ice-breaker activities before supper.
Friday, we board the Pirate Ship for high-seas adventure – bring your swim suits, mateys, you’re bound to get wet when you walk the plank. We also hold a Sharing Session for campers to talk about their cancer experience and share advice with each other.
On Saturday, we will take a short bus trip to a riding stable for some horseback riding, lunch on the road, then back to camp to be challenged by the High-ropes Course, where we will fly through the treetops, and test our courage. Saturday evening we will “dance until our feet can’t feel the ground.”
Sunday morning, we pack up, have a great breakfast and enjoy some time in the Rocking Chair Room before boarding the bus for the trip home with new-found friends.
