Uplifting Angels
Uplifting Angels embraces those living with cancer through visits by wonderful volunteer "angel" messengers to hospital cancer units and clinics throughout the state. They deliver special gifts to lift the spirits and brighten the day of those so greatly in need of a little ray of sunshine in their lives.

We are extremely honored to be graciously invited into over 50 hospitals and cancer units throughout the state to bring hope and make life a little brighter and happier for those living with cancer. Twice a year (late winter and early fall) this bevy of amazing volunteer angels lovingly give of their time and talents to bring smiles to the faces of cancer patients young and old alike. They make the "Uplifting Angels" visits a remarkable labor of love.

A team of Uplifting Angels prepare over 4,000 "right from the heart" gift packages for each visit. It is their mission to make things a little better and brighter for those who are battling cancer.

We'd like to share a few excerpts from messages we received about Uplifting Angels that certainly made our day. These heartfelt words truly inspire us.

"I was diagnosed with multiple melanoma in January. After months of chemo, a bone marrow transplant and a number of complications and hospital stays, I was at Onocology West in Milwaukee for a bone strengthening treatment. Penny, one of the wonderful receptionists who remembers everyone's name, face and spouse after one visit (even when you come in and don't have an appointment) was handing out your gift bags. The gift bag made my day, especially the angel pin. I wear it every day now and I am very moved by the message on the card. I read it each time I put the pin on and other times during the day. This small gesture gives me great comfort. Just wanted to thank all the volunteers and donors for the work, that by fate, came to help and "uplift me" at just the right time.

God bless you all."
